Oh the places our MetalPrints go! This print medium is known for its luminosity, durability, and wide variety of display options. Because we offer the industry's widest selection, we've had some amazing opportunities to get creative and go BIG with the final presentation. Here are some installations that stand out for their unique ways with MetalPrint displays.
Mark Lowrie's Photo Sculptures
High Gloss and Sheer MetalPrints
Mark Lowrie is an artist who assembles beautiful photo sculptures using Bay Photo MetalPrints in various surfaces. His 3D displays feature multiple layers of MetalPrints for creative works of art, which document his travel photography from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles and beyond.
Princeton University’s HSC Project
40x80 Mid-Gloss MetalPrints
✨ We print Galaxy Size! ✨ You're gazing at the final result of Princeton University's HSC Project -- a small piece of sky, full of galaxies as observed by the Hyper Suprime-Cam / Subaru Telescope over a 15-hour long exposure and 3 composited filters. The Princeton team chose Bay Photo MetalPrints (6 - 40x80" panels) to uphold the impact of the subject matter itself. Proper scale would mean a 1000-foot viewing distance, but where's the mind-blowing fun in that?!
Harvey Milk Exhibit at SFO Airport
Satin MetalPrints with Inset Frames
Have you flown into or out of SFO Airport in the past couple years? We are honored to have played a part in this new installation of MetalPrints in Terminal 1, exhibiting “Harvey Milk: Messenger of Hope” through late 2021. All MetalPrints were produced on Satin surface, with 3/4” aluminum Inset Frames. Thanks to SFO Museum for choosing Bay Photo.
La Pensione Hotel’s Lighting Fixtures
Curved MetalPrints on Sheer Surface
When La Pensione Hotel remodeled their outdoor courtyard, they decided to use Bay Photo Curved MetalPrints for their new lighting fixtures, designed by MC2 Design. Our Sheer surface allows the aluminum grain to show, for a unique architectural element. And further, the opposite orientation than would normally be ordered for the tabletop allows for an eye-catching custom wall display.
Tenji Aquarium Design Installation
Custom Creative Edge MetalPrint Shapes
When Tenji Aquarium Design approached us for an ambitious project, we knew our MetalPrints would be up to the challenge. We specially programmed our CNC, and our Creative Edge shapes took on a whole new level of creativity! The end result was a collection of engaging and educational sea creatures that line the walls of an aquarium in Florida.
